[NOTE: All items below are from my private collection & are not for sale.]
Below are some odd variations that I purchased from England, Australia, Canada, and Japan. Collectors often question why the foreign dolls sometimes vary greatly from the dolls marketed in the United States. My guess is that the strict manufacturing guidelines that Topper imposed on the dolls released in the U.S. (such as respective hair and eye coloring, stock outfits, and packaging for each doll) were not enforced on the dolls marketed abroad. Or perhaps these "mixed-up" variations were strewn together and released overseas during factory clearance after Topper filed for bankruptcy?

ABOVE: "Three Unusual European Variations"
Left to right: Model Agency Maureen with rare "blue" eyes dressed in a knock-off gown; Head-to-Toe Longlocks in her elusive "RED" jumpsuit; Angie, packaged in a Denise Model Agency box, wearing a hard-to-find variation of "Rain Check".
ABOVE: "Two More Unusual European Variations"
Left to right: Connie Majorette in Model Agency Maureen's box [NOTE: This particular doll has a standard, rather than a Majorette, body and is wearing a knockoff (non-Topper issued) Majorette uniform (which was released as a Pippa fashion)]; Majorette Dawn in a variation of Kip Majorette's uniform (i.e., a gold uniform with neon-orange, rather than fushia, insets).
ABOVE: "Mismatched Standard Variations"
Left to right: Dawn in her 2nd issue box wearing Glori's standard red mini; Dawn in her 2nd issue box wearing one of Dancing Jessica's dance minis; Jessica in Dawn's 2nd issue box wearing "Groovy Baby Groovy"; Dale in her 2nd issue box wearing the standard mini worn by Dawn in her "Music Box" playset.
ABOVE: "Unusual "Diana" Dolls"
"Diana" dolls are inferior-quality knockoffs often found wearing Topper Dawn or Mattel Rockflower stock outfits. The dolls above are highly unusual in that each has an original Dawn family-member head.
Left to right: Diana doll with "Denise" head wearing one of Dale's hard-to-find stock minis; Diana doll with "Fancy Feet" head wearing a knock-off majorette uniform; Diana doll with "Daphne" head wearing a hard-to-find variation of "Rain Check"; Diana doll with "Angie" head wearing a knock-off majorette uniform; Diana doll with "Denise" head wearing Kip Majorette's uniform.
ABOVE: "Boxed Fashion from Japan"
Here is boxed "Green Slink" from Japan. The only difference in packaging is the Japanese fashion pamphlet (attached to box in lower right corner).
