International Dawn...

[NOTE: All items below are from my private collection & are not for sale.]

Below are some odd variations that I purchased from England, Australia, Canada, and Japan. Collectors often question why the foreign dolls sometimes vary greatly from the dolls marketed in the United States. My guess is that the strict manufacturing guidelines that Topper imposed on the dolls released in the U.S. (such as respective hair and eye coloring, stock outfits, and packaging for each doll) were not enforced on the dolls marketed abroad. Or perhaps these "mixed-up" variations were strewn together and released overseas during factory clearance after Topper filed for bankruptcy?

"Diana" dolls are inferior-quality knockoffs often found wearing Topper Dawn or Mattel Rockflower stock outfits. The dolls above are highly unusual in that each has an original Dawn family-member head.

Here is boxed "Green Slink" from Japan. The only difference in packaging is the Japanese fashion pamphlet (attached to box in lower right corner).
